Elkonin Box Magnetic Dry Erase Boards have a built-in slider that helps build phonological awareness! The built-in slider on these durable, easy-to-use, dry erase boards provides a tactile element to sounding out and blending beginning, middle and ending sounds. Use the dry erase boards to draw a picture of the word, break the word out into phonemes, and then use the slider to move from box to box to help pronounce the word. With phonemes segmented into boxes, students can learn to pronounce every syllable and sound of the word correctly. These are great for young learners, as well as for those learning English as a second language. Each board is magnetic and can be used with our Magnetic Wands and Lowercase Alphabet Chips (sold separately). Plus, they provide plenty of space at the top for writing out a word or placing a flash card. Each set includes eight double-sided, dry erase boards (four 2- and 4-sound boards and four 3- and 5-sound boards).
